This is the first time that I make madeleine, and to say the truth, I was very happy with the result.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • Zest of one lemon
  • 1 / 2 packet of  baking powder ( 1/2 tablespoon)
  • 100g flour
  • 100g butter
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of Salt

Remove the lemon zest. Mix with 2 eggs, sugar and salt.  Whisk everything to obtain a creamy foam. Melt the butter in the microwave for 20 seconds.

Sift the flour and the yeast and add it to the previous mix.

Finally, add the butter. Allow the dough for 2 hours if possible, in a cool place (refrigerator).

put a spoonful of batter into each madeleine mould ( bakeware), and put in a hot oven at 200 ° C, for 10-12 minutes.

for the chocolate topping, you can put a piece of chocolate in a madeleine bakeware, put it on the oven (turned off but still hot), until the chocolate melts , place your madeleines on the melted chocolate, and let them in the  mould in a cool place until the madeleine detaches itself from the mould. and you will obtain this beautiful chocolate topping.

This Bavarian cake was truly delicious. The quality and the presentation were to real European standards. It could have been bought in a Parisian patisserie.

that was the best sweet I ever tasted, very delicious with a crunchy and crispy topping, and a lovely filling.
I'm sure I will order soon with confidence.
